Help! We need an actor! Urgently
1 May, 2008 by claremontdramatic
Fish Hoek Dramatic Society is desperate to find an actor to play the part of Eric in a Warburton Play (actually two one-act plays) directed by Barrie Howard. These are the two one-act plays which follow “Easy Stages”.
The plays are very witty comedies and follow one another. The role calls for a young man in his thirties but we could be flexible to a degree (but cannot have someone too young). The part is a lead part and requires an actor of some experience.
Kindly contact Margi Blewett (chairperson Fish Hoek D. S.) on 083 628 6295
A little more information about the play/characters: No-one would have blamed it on the Boots if only Kate had produced Macbeth instead of Hamlet, but Kate does produce Hamlet, Eric flirts outrageously with the impressionable Ophelia, and Liz insists that the ghost wears the boots. A hilarious production of Hamlet as never seen before, only to be followed up with The distracted Globe which follows the fortunes of the drama group members from Don’t blame it on the Boots. The group has just presented Hamlet with mixed success. Now is the chance for cast and crew to relax and enjoy the after-play party which takes place on the set of Hamlet.
